Pete and Femke Edwards welcome you to the website of their campsite, Le Clos Bouyssac. Situated in the stunning Lot valley of southern France the campsite is a calm, tranquil place to spend your holiday. With the river running down one side we are able to offer large, shady or sunny riverside pitches.

We have spent the winter renovating two gites, which now offer a high level of accommodation. All the fun of a campsite, all the luxury of a gite. Check out our chalets and mobile homes as well or if you want to try camping, but don’t own a tent, why not try the family size tents waiting for you on the site. Just think, no pitching or packing, a kitchen with a fridge and real beds!

The region has chateaus, vineyards and pretty villages set in unspoilt countryside. It is ideal for exploring by foot, cycle, vehicle or even on horseback. We have prepared walking maps to help you explore the area.

The records for the biggest fishes were broken again this year. Fishermen should check out the fishing page (under Activities) to see the latest monsters to be caught from the site. Outside July and August, if you rent a Gite or Chalet we give you a pitch to fish from. Free! And the first week in October the campsite will be closed except 5 fishing pegs. Contact us for details.

There are lots of things to do and we specialise in helping you make the most of your stay and are happy to advise on places to visit. One thing is for certain; a warm welcome awaits you. This year more than 50% of our clients had been before or were recommended by friends, so we think we must be doing something right. The Dutch review website, www.zoover.nl,  gave us a reward because we were highly recommended on their website by our clients. Thanks guys, we owe you a drink.

There are also some new features on the website this year. You can now download a brochure and our tariffs directly from the site. Look for the button on the left on the subsequent pages. No matter how comprehensive the website we know you may be left with questions to ask, so use the “contact us” link to send your questions to us or ring us on 0033 (0) 565365221.
